The Nadi Weather Office said Fiji has received more than expected rainfall in the last month.
The comments come as the Fiji Electricity Authority had earlier revealed that Monasavu did not receive expected rainfall which has resulted in the looming energy crisis.
But, Nadi Weather Office Deputy Director, Alipate Waqaicelua has confirmed that Monasavu has been receiving sufficient rain.
FEA Chief Executive Hasmukh Patel had earlier stated that water levels at the Monasavu dam has reached a critical level and this would mean that about 40 businesses may have to start generating their own power.
