There are still more than 9,000 people staying in 170 evacuation centres around the country.
DISMAC Director, Patiliai Dobui has confirmed that there has been a decrease in the number of evacuees from 11,000 to 9,000.
When questioned by Fijivillage News on how long these evacuation centres will be open, Dobui said it all depend on the people staying in these centres.
