Another four Secondary school students of a Suva school and three street kids were found sniffing glue this morning.

Some members of the public spotted these students sniffing glue in a vacant building in Gorrie street and informed Police.

Police Spokesperson, Atunaisa Sokomuri confirms the students were taken to the Police station. Their parents and the school Principal have been informed of the incident.

Sokomuri said parents should now start checking on the whereabouts of their children.

Meanwhile, the President of the Primary School Teachers Association said there is a need to create more awareness on the effects of sniffing glue.

Rupeni Tamani said they had a few cases where students were found sniffing glue and a session was held with the parents.

He adds that parents need to play their role in ensuring that their children do not get involved in glue sniffing.
