A number of prominent businesspeople in the Northern Division are expected to be questioned by police in relation to the Fiji School of Nursing scam.

Police have confirmed that these businesspeople acted as agents for the former Assistant Minister who is now under investigation.

It is alleged that these people also received money in return from the former Assistant Minister.

The former Assistant Minister complained of back pains while being questioned at the Lautoka Police Station on Tuesday. The interview has been suspended until further notice.

He with the help of some business people allegedly obtained more than $85,000 from some people who were promised places at the Fiji School of Nursing.
