More jobs are expected to be created as plans are underway to build fire stations in Nadi and Savusavu.
National Fire Authority Chief Executive Officer Joseva Gavidi said $1.2 million dollars has already been committed for Nadi fire station.
Gavidi also said that once the work starts on the fire stations more local jobs will also be created.
He adds that plans are on the table to build a fire station in Nabouwalu as well as it was one of the centres identified in the country.
