Despite the recent standoff between the interim government and the water bottling industry, there are revelations that more investors are keen on setting up water bottling plants in the country.
Director Environment Epeli Nasome confirmed to Fijivillage that there are a few proposed sites which they are exploring to ensure that they are viable sites.
Nasome said it is vital to first establish the quantity of water available and others who rely on the underground resource.
Nasome said their findings from the inspections and tests at the proposed sites will then be forwarded to the interested companies for assessment.
