Concerns continue to be raised on having the name Fijian for all citizens of the country as members of the National Council for Building a Better Fiji take the draft charter to the people.
In Lami last night, an elderly citizen asked where the word Fijian came from.
According to NCBBF member Reverend Akuila Yabaki stressed that the name "Fijian" was not put in place by the indigenous people of the country but by our Tongan neighbors.
NCBBF member Desmond Whiteside then gave a personal account of why all citizens must be called Fijian.
About 40 people attended the draft Charter consultations at the Lami Parish Hall last night.
