Some women's groups and individuals have raised concern about their future in the country through the draft People's Charter and have signed a petition on their thoughts on the Charter which will be forwarded to the President and the Interim Prime Minister.

About 30 mothers who represented woman's organizations, stressed that general elections be held in the country soon as possible as possible as they believe Fiji's economy is not in a good state.

Pacific Concerns Resource Center's representative, Ema Tagicakibau said Fiji does not need a People's Charter.
