A 60-year-old man of Suva who is alleged to have raped his two daughters and his daughter-in-law is expected to be charged with further counts of rape and indecent assault soon.

Police media liaison officer Atunaisa Sokomuri has confirmed that the man who was hospitalized after complaining of body pains was discharged early this week and is now in police custody.

Sokomuri said more charges will be laid against him as soon as some of the alleged offences are dated back as far as 1987.

Last week he appeared in the Nasinu Magistrates Court charged with six counts of rape and one count of indecent assault.

He has been remanded in custody.
