More people are expected to be arrested in relation to the foiled robbery plans at the New World Supermarket in Suva yesterday.

Director CID, Tevita Lesu this morning confirmed that more people are believed to be involved in planning robbery.

A planned robbery by five men was foiled at about 10 o'clock yesterday morning by the Police Strike Back team with the assistance of the Police Dog Unit who intercepted and arrested the men.

The incident happened at the New World Supermarket in Rodwell in Suva when all the suspects who are in their thirties were on their way to try and intercept the Supermarket bank run.

Acting on information received the Strike Back team mounted an operation with the assistance of the Police Dog Unit. Two suspects were arrested inside the supermarket, one was arrested in taxi parked outside while two other suspects were arrested at Chang's place.
