More 700 people in Evacuation centers in North
DISMAC Operations Officer Anthony Blake said they are expecting this number to increase within the next few hours.
Blake said they have received reports of damages from various parts of the Northern Division.
About hundred people taking shelter at Waiqele Primary school evacuation center are not feeling safe.
A resident, Naren Singh who took shelter at the center said there are wide windows at the school which has no shutters and could break injuring the residents.
He said strong winds and heavy rainfall continues, and he feels more secured at his home.
Singh said they have informed DISMAC on this issue and are waiting for assistance.
Cadranasiga District School is currently being used as an evacuation centre for villagers from Navidamu in Macuata.

The people of Vuninuku Cikobia are at this moment moving inland to shelter from the strong winds.
Vuninuku villager Seruki Baleibua said in the last hour they have witnessed strong winds uproot root crops as well as trees, and because of this they are not taking any chances of staying around the village.
Meanwhile, Rakesh Chand from Qamea Island said three houses have been blown away as a result of strong winds and some people have taken shelter at a church.
