Police have called on members of the public to closely monitor their children and not to drink and drive if they are thinking of going out for picnic today.

Assistant Spokesperson Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said people often spend the Easter Monday with their family going out for picnic, however people should mindful that they should not break the law.

He said some bus drivers who were drunk have been arrested previously transporting people to picnic spots.
