A team of officers from the Special Money Laundering Unit will head for Labasa today to assist Labasa Police in relation to the alleged drug paddling in Vanua Levu.

The officers from the money laundering unit will try to find out as to how large sums of money were obtained from a Batanikama businessman's house and if it was earned illegally.

Meanwhile, Police have questioned and released all four people including the Batanikama businessmen who were taken in for questioning as they need more evidence before charges can be laid.

It had also been confirmed that joint Police and Military officers had discovered more than $35,000 from inside a tool kit which was lying in the rubbish dump at the businessman's house.

Some dried leaves were also discovered at the businessman’s house.
