The Fiji Electricity has once again called on customers to conserve energy after revelations that the water level at the Monasavu Dam as of yesterday stands 729.17 meters which is only 14 meters above the critical level.

Fiji Electricity Authority CEO, Hasmukh Patel said the situation is likely to get worse since the Metrological Office has reported that rainfall is expected in late November or early December.

FEA is anticipating a loss this year and Patel said he can make a profit of $2 to $3 million every month but this would mean closing down the Monasavu dam.
