Two Vodafone Fiji 7s players have been suspended by World Rugby after the Las Vegas 7s tournament.
Sevuloni Mocenacagi who was sent off in the final of Las Vegas final for tackling South Africa’s Werner Kok in the air, has been suspended for 3 games.
World Rugby made the decision after a hearing overnight.
Vatemo Ravouvou who was the DHL Impact Player of the tournament in Vegas, has received a one‑game suspension for repeated foul play.
This will carry over to the Vancouver 7s this weekend.
Fiji coach Gareth Baber is expected to comment later today.
Meanwhile South Africa is the team to beat in the upcoming Vancouver 7s.
The Blitzboks were series runners‑up for four consecutive seasons but have now had their best ever start with titles in Dubai, Sydney, Wellington and Las Vegas.
They have only lost two games this season and both of which were against England.
Coach Neil Powell says they are happy with how his players are believing in their system and working for each other.
South Africa is in Pool A with England, Kenya and Chile.
Fiji will take on Wales at 6.36am Sunday, their second game is against Samoa at 10.12am Sunday before meeting Argentina at 1.52pm Sunday in our last pool match.
The Medal quarter finals will start at 6.08am next Monday, the semis start at 10.08am Monday while the final will kick off at 1.19pm Monday.
Barring any upsets, Fiji is likely to meet USA, Australia or France in the quarter finals, we will meet either New Zealand or England in semifinals and South Africa in the final.
