“It does not get any sweeter than this”
Those were the sentiments of former Suva and national soccer player Aisea Mocelutu speaking with tears as the Suva team celebrated their IDC victory after 28 years.
Mocelutu was the goal scorer in 1983 against Ba in the final and said he never thought the cup would return to Suva after a long time.
Meanwhile, more than 500 die hard Suva soccer fans took part in the march and float procession in the rain this morning to mark their Courts IDC win.
The best player of the tournament was awarded to Samuela Vula of Suva.
Also this morning Fiji FA President Rajesh Patel confirmed further disciplinary action will be taken in regards to last week’s final following police and their investigations.
