Part of the new $20 notes that was stolen from Suva's Kings Wharf over the weekend are already in circulation and Police are now calling on the members of the public to assist them in apprehending the people who stole the million dollars.
Assistant Police Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said they have already been informed that the thieves have used the new $20 notes at various places and he said it is now time to work together to catch these criminals.
Now you may be wondering how you can assist in apprehending these thieves?
The message from Inspector Sokomuri is to look out for the new $20 notes with the serial number starting with EB.
Any $20 note with the EB serial number is a stolen note as these are new serial numbers and have never been circulated.
So far Police have managed to ascertain with the assistance of the banks that the stolen notes have been used at different locations in Lautoka, Nadi, Sigatoka, Suva and Nausori.
