After a massive search, the body of 45 year old bus driver, Janti Lal of Rakiraki was found one kilometre away from the place where he was last seen crossing a flooded river on Wednesday night.
Officer-In-Charge Rakiraki Police station, ASP Sekeaia Suluka earlier confirmed that a team of 10 police officers had been assigned to search for Lal.
ASP Suluka added that the Lal got off a bus after returning from work and was seen crossing the Baruto River as his house is located on the opposite side.
A post mortem is expected to be conducted tomorrow.
Police have warned the members of the public not to try and cross flooded rivers and streams during this weather.
