The Audit Report on Fiji Pine Trust has been completed, and revealed serious cases of misuse and mismanagement.

Following complaints from the Pine Landowners, an independent audit on Fiji Pine Trust was called by the Chairman of Fiji Pine Ratu Tevita Uluilakeba Mara.

The Landowners raised the issue that Fiji Pine Trust failed to serve its core function.

Ratu Tevita said the audit report highlights various instances of unethical business practices and mismanagement of Trust funds and property by senior executives.

Ratu Tevita said that discussion is currently underway for Fiji Pine Limited to carry out the operations of Fiji Pine Trust.

The report has been forwarded to the Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Fisheries and Forests and a decision on this is expected to be made next week.

All grants from Fiji Pine Limited have been ceased.
