We will ensure minors are not allowed into nightclubs.
Fijivillage News spoke to some nightclub officials in Suva, who say
their security officers are doing the job of ensuring youths below the age of 18 years are not allowed.
Officials say IDs are being checked for those youths who look young before they are allowed in.
According to officials they have certain guidelines in their nightclub and liquor license which they cannot breach.
Some nightclubs who are in special Suva and Nadi zones can open until 5am daily.
Although officials say security officers and bouncers are on alert to ensure minors do not enter night clubs, Fijivillage News has noticed many minors as young as 16 are entering nightclubs. No ID's were being checked as well.
