Ministry to monitor Festivals inlight of H1N1
Nadi has seen the most cases of Pandemic H1N1 so far with the figure reaching 17 followed by 16 cases in Suva and 11 in Lautoka with a total of 44 confirmed cases in the country.
The Media Liaison Officer for the Health Ministry Iliesa Tora said with 8 more new cases yesterday, most of the cases tested have had travel history.
He said so far young people easily become target of H1N1 and there is an urgent need for parents to keep an eye on their children.
Meanwhile, Tora is calling on people not to take things for granted and wash their hands regularly with soap and water, to use a tissue while sneezing or coughing and to avoid mixing around with others if they are sick.
He said more samples are being received at the Mataika House lab from around Suva, Nadi and Lautoka and tests are currently being carried out.
