The Youth and Sports Ministry will now investigate the bickering in Netball Fiji that led to the sacking of expat coach Melissa Walker and national team manager Venina Galuinadi after taking the team to the Tri-Series in South Africa.
Speaking to Fijivillage from Nadi this morning, Minister Filipe Bole said he has instructed his Permanent Secretary to look into the matter.
It is understood that Walker and Galuinadi have been sacked for going against the Council decision not to go to South Africa.
Walker and Galuinadi were handed their termination letters upon arrival at Nadi Airport last night by Netball Fiji western delegates Sai Khalik and Vani Natura.
Walker broke down when she was handed the letter and Galuinadi said that this act by the netball executives was done in a "cowardly" manner and they should have waited for them to arrive in Suva.
Meanwhile, national team captain Mere Rabuka said that all team members have been asked to present themselves to the executives and declare whether they still want to be in the team or not.
Netball Fiji president Milika Munivai is expected to comment later.
