The Ministry of Youth and Sports will decide this week whether the Fiji Rugby Union will be given more money for the preparations for the Rugby World Cup.
Interim Sports Minister Lekh Ram Vayeshnoi confirmed that they have received a proposal from the FRU seeking more funds apart from the $400,000 already budgeted for the tournament in France.
Vayeshnoi said the proposal came last Thursday and his ministry will look at it this week before a final decision is made.
FRU has requested for $300,000 more to cover all the expenses for the Rugby World Cup.
