A team from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce along with key stakeholders will meet soon to discuss Tax Free Zone developments in Savusavu.
The Divisional Planning Officer Northern, Ratu Eliki Tikoidraubuta said the plan started some time ago and the stakeholders were finalising works on the tax free zone.
He said the Ministry team would inspect the Savusavu industrial tax free zone.
He said the meeting will be between the Fiji Electricity Authority, TFL, Water Authority of Fiji, Public Roads and Works together with the Commissioner Northern officers.
He said new prospects are coming up in Savusavu and the Ministry of Industry and Trade is spearheading these group developments and new infrastructure developments are also underway.
Meanwhile, Balaga Bay in Savusavu has been declared a port of entry.
