The Ministry of Public Works is working on plans to widen some major roads before the end of next year.
Ministry Spokesperson Sainiana Waqainabete said they are giving the Makoi to Nausori and Nadi to Lautoka highway more prominence at this stage.
Meanwhile, work on the widening of Nokonoko road running into Ratu Dovi road is expected to be completed by the end of April this year.
