The Ministry of Roads today received the 11 tractors, worth over $8.5 million dollars they had bought from Carpenters Motors after close to four months of waiting.
Minister Captain Timoci Natuva revealed that the graders were supposed to have arrived in February but they encountered some problems following the devaluation of the Fiji Dollar in April.
Talking on how these graders will be used, Natuva said that they will be shared amongst the different districts in the country after the Ministry looks at the need for upgrades.
The next shipment of 5 smaller graders is expected to arrive into the country next week.
