The Social Welfare Ministry will now be looking at increasing the housing allocation to families.
Minister Dr Jiko Luveni said that taking into account the increasing cost of building materials and the call by the Fiji Council of Social Services, the $5,000 allocation may be increased.
Meanwhile, Luveni had earlier revealed that the Ministry will soon be opening a new workshop in Suva for young women to provide training and employment opportunities in the Tourism industry.
