The Health Ministry has launched the Public Health Information System which will now be used to keep an eye on the trend of illness in the country and implementation of new policies.
Permanent Secretary Health, Dr Sala Saketa said the system will be easier for doctors to keep track of cases and what to implement.
Meanwhile, Spokesperson Illiesa Tora said this system was started in 2004 and pilot tests have been run for the past years in health centres around the country.
This is a paper information data base where doctors will now keep a record of the cases such as diabetes, etc then also jot down the work done to assist patients.
After 6 months an evaluation will be done on the whole system to see what can be improved or otherwise.
