The Lands Ministry has implemented a number of measures recently to achieve a 50% reduction in civil service costs.
Permanent Secretary Maria Matavewa confirmed the measures are mostly cutting down on operational costs and this will be strictly monitored.
Meanwhile, a total of 46 civil servants retired from the Lands Ministry last week with 13 of them retained in the Ministry.
