The Health Ministry is now focusing on issues related to water and mosquito born disease after the wrath of Tropical Cyclone Mick.

Ministry Spokesperson Iliesa Tora said that they have not anticipated any major problems however they have advised the sub-divisional and divisional teams to be on standby in case of a disease breakout.

He said the health teams are visiting hospitals, health centres, settlements, villages and towns to work with different municipality and different committees to see that water and mosquito borne diseases do not occur.

Meanwhile, the Navua Hospital will be closed for the next two weeks as cleaning is currently underway there.
