Health Ministry officials are still trying to curb the spread of typhoid in Navosa.

So far officials have vaccinated close to 4000 people.

Spokesman Iliesa Tora said some have been vaccinated and treated and health officials are still moving up to Keiyasi.

Tora added the vaccination program has been successful so far as there are no difficulties faced by the officials in traveling to affected areas.

He added there are no new reports of typhoid in other areas apart from Navosa.

Villages are advised to take necessary precautions while using water from rivers and creeks for drinking.

They should ensure water is not contaminated by animals.
