The Provincial Development Ministry is continuing with its 18 weeks rehabilitation program to reconstruct homes destroyed during Cyclone Tomas and Mick.

Permanent Secretary, Manasa Vaniqi said the Ministry will send 21 teams to affected areas to assist in the rebuilding of homes.

He added these teams will include five carpenters each and their work is expected to be completed by end of the year.

According to Vaniqi they expect to re-build or repair over 700 houses from now till December.

He said many people had offered support to the Ministry however there is no physical indication that any assistance will be coming soon.
