The Ministry of education has started to advise schools around the country to close down for the day due to the current weather situation.
This has been confirmed by the Permanent secretary for education Filipe Jitoko just moments ago.
Jitoko said the schools are to make arrangements for transport for the students.
A message to all parents, the Ministry of Education has advised that all schools should close now to ensure that the students reach home safely before the weather worsens.
Parents please make the necessary arrangements and ensure that your children reach home safely.
Many school head teachers and principals have also called us about the closure of the schools and parents to pick up their children.
