The Interim Minister for Health is hoping to get an increase in their budget allocation so they can tackle the manpower problem currently being faced within the Ministry.
Speaking to Fijivillage Doctor Jiko Luveni said an increase in their allocation will help with the doctor and nurse shortages which the Ministry is facing.
Luveni said there are also many other areas that her ministry is looking at improving.
Luveni said they have put forward several issues in their submissions for an increase in allocation and her Ministry is expecting a significant increase.
The 2009 budget will be announced on the 28th of November by the Interim Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Commodore Bainimarama.
