The Lands and Mineral Resources Ministry is currently looking through the mining plan of the new Mine Company Westech for the Vatukoula Gold Mine.
Interim Attorney General Aiyaz Saiyed-Khaiyum said Westech has provided the relevant information on their financial partner, Red Lion and other plans to re-open the mines.
Westech Director Brian Wesson is expected to comment later today.
