Interim Tourism Minister Bernadette Rounds Ganilau is hoping that the Finance Ministry will be sympathetic to the tourism industry and allow for a substantial allocation in the 2008 Budget.

Rounds Ganilau said that they are hoping for a more than ten million dollar marketing budget and adds that the tourism industry cannot continue to depend on the private sector, as they have done enough marketing for Fiji already.

The Interim Tourism Minister adds that while they really do not know how much they will be getting until November 23rd when it will be announced, they are hoping for a good allocation.
