Ministries directed to strengthen flexi-hrs
Commodore Bainimarama said the need for consideration to be given by the various Ministries to customers related services is high priority for Government.
While speaking to civil servants during his visit to the PSC Headquarters this afternoon, Bainimarama also stressed that it is time that every civil servant in the country get out of their comfort zone and serve the public.
Commodore Bainimarama said following his tour of the Western Division he has noted that service delivery is an issue that needs to be dealt with immediately.
He also told the civil servants that they should never say no to any member of the public.
Meanwhile, Permanent Secretary for PSC Parmesh Chand said the Government Information Referral Centre is open from 8am to 4:30pm everyday and it is now also open on Saturdays from 8am to 1pm, and extends to 2:30pm or 4pm if there is a Cruise Ship bringing in tourists to the capital city.
