The Head teachers Association has welcomed Interim Education Minister's call that from now onwards students will not be sent home for non-payment of school fees.
Association president, Vijay Kumar Sharma said many parents in the rural areas around the country are facing hard times and they have been advised by the minister to be lenient.
Sukanaivalu said the education of students is a top priority for the Interim Government.
He added that a directive has been already issued to all school head teachers and Principals that the students who have not paid their school fees are not to be sent home.
Sukanaivalu has also asked all parents to save money for their childrens school fees as the next term of school starts tomorrow.
