Commerce Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum is currently responsible for decision making at the Prices and Incomes Board as Secretary Ane Naulivou is on leave.
Acting Secretary Lucy Naimawi said Naulivou returns to work later this month, however, they have to make some major announcements this week on the change in fuel prices.
She said former PIB official Biutiviti Biulailai retired two weeks ago.
The new fuel prices are expected to be announced this Friday.
