Miners who worked for Vatukoula Gold Mines are waiting anxiously to be selected by Westech company to resume their duties in the mines soon.
Village News spoke to a miner from Tavua, Pravin Kumar who is hopeful to be selected so that he could get out of financial difficulties, him and his family are facing.
Another miner, Hamlet Wedlock from Vatukoula who joined the military after the mines closed in December said he will apply soon to work in the mines.
Westech is expected to intake over 1000 miners to work in different sectors of the mines.
