Chiefs captain Mils Muliaina has been named the new All Blacks captain replacing the injured Richie McCaw.

Although Muliaina's Chiefs team failed to live up to the expectation of their fans when they were taught what Super 14 rugby is all about in the 61-17 defeat in the hands of the Bulls the All Blacks selectors have faith in him to deliver the results.

Muliaina together with fellow team mates Stephen Donald, Richard Kahui, Tanerau Latimer, Liam Messam and the injured Brendon Leonard are the Chiefs players who have forced their way into the All Blacks team.

Players like Sione Lauaki, Aled Malmanche and Lelia Masaga will now play in the Junior All Blacks team for the Pacific Nation Cup.

Chiefs open side flanker Latimer, Crusaders pair Isaac Ross and prop Wyatt Crockett are the 3 new caps in the All Blacks team.

Players who were not considered because of injury are McCaw, Sitiveni Sivivatu, Andy Ellis, Corey Flynn, Scot Waldrom and Dan Carter.

Meanwhile in the Super 14 rugby final this morning the Bulls created history in winning their second Super 14 title and also recorded the biggest ever winning margin in the final thrashing the Chiefs 61-17 in Pretoria this morning.

For the Chiefs there was a lot of honest endeavor, but they were simply never allowed to settle, either in terms of possession or territory, and it was why the second best team in the 2009 Super 14 came a very distant second on the deciding day.
