Former Chiefs captain and All Blacks test centurion Mils Muliaina may start this Saturday against the Highlanders.
Muliaina, who had surgery on his elbow while playing in Japan last year, looked to have reinjured it against the Crusaders and was thought to need another operation that might put him out for the bulk of the season but it has turned out to be more minor than that.
The Chiefs will take on the Highlanders at 6.35pm Saturday.
On Friday the Crusaders meet the Blues at 6.35pm while the Rebels face the Cheetahs at 8.40pm.
