The Fiji Sugar Cooperation has assured cane farmers that all mills are ready for crushing.
Sugar Cane Growers Council Chairman Jain Kumar said they had a meeting with the FSC Board this morning and they have been assured that mills will run normal from the 19th of this month.
And also confirmed is that the fourth cane payment will be paid out before next Friday.
Crushing in the Penang Mill will start on 19th of this month, Labasa mill on 28th May, the largest sugar mill Lautoka on 19th June and Rarawai mill will begin crushing on 24th June.
