Fiji Athletics Coach Albert Miller is one of the first to oppose the new No False Start Rule, that will be observed during the two-day Coca Cola Games meet on Friday.
The Secondary Schools Atheletics Association has decided that the no false start rule will be used at the games, however Miller said it should not be used for the Secondary Schools competition.
Miller said the meet is a breeding ground for athletes and they should not be disheartened with all these new rules.
Coca Cola Games chief organiser Vuli Waqa said they have to do it, because it's an international rule and athletes must be taught this rule from now on.
Fiji Secondary Schools Athletics Association is likely to face opposition for the No False Start Rule during the Coca Cola Games this weekend.
Some of the Secondary Schools officials and coaches may oppose this idea at the Technical Meeting on Thursday at the tfl National Stadium.
The Coca Cola Games will start on Friday at 9am.
