Albert Miller is no longer the President of Athletics Fiji after he was stood down last night following a vote of no confidence from the Executive Committee of Athletics Fiji.

This has been confirmed to Fijivillage by Acting President Dr Ayoade Alakija however she said the reason for Albert Miller's standing down as President is an internal matter.

Alakija added that there are certain changes that need to be made within the association which includes constitutional matters and the election of a new committee to be effective until the next AGM in March next year.

The new Executive committee was also advised by the Constitutional Review Sub-committee to govern the Association in accordance with Athletics Fiji 2008 constitution as the Constitution of 2010 was null and void and needs to be properly amended.

When we contacted Albert Miller who is currently in Labasa, Miller said that he has not received any official confirmation from the Executive committee about the meeting.

The former Pacific Games decathlon champion was first elected as President of Athletics Fiji in 2010.
