The National team swimmer Douglas Miller has broken four Fijian Open short course records.

Miller, who competed at the 2009 Heritage Queensland Short Course Championships in Brisbane broke the records in the 400m, 100m and 200m Freestyle records as well as the 200m Individual Medley.

He set the new time of 4.25.44 in the 400m while the old time stand at 4.52.06 while in the 100m freestyle he finished in a new time of 58.08 seconds.

In the 200m freestyle, Miller finished in 2.02.46 seconds and in the 200m Individual Medley he set a new record of 2.19.58 seconds.

Miller reached two finals in the 400m and 200m Individual Medley finishing in 5th and 6th places respectively while he failed to reach the finals of the 100m and 200m freestyle finishing in 9th and 16th place.
