Despite the increased costs, Rewa Dairy Cooperative has confirmed that it will maintain the current price of milk and other dairy products for the time being.
However, Rewa Dairy chairman Ratu Josefa Serulagilagi said they are in the process of putting together how the devaluation of the Fiji dollar by 20% will impact their operations before making a submission to the Prices and Incomes Board.
Serulagilagi said as with other manufacturers, consumers can expect an increase in milk prices in the future as they have to pay more to import raw materials to make milk and other products.
