The Dairy Farmers of the country are expected to discuss problems faced by the industry in their Annual General Meeting next month.
Naitasiri Dairy Farmers Association spokesperson Vijendra Prakash said for the last 60 years the industry is facing some major problems which have seen a huge decline in milk production in the country.
For local consumption 20% of the milk is produced in the country and the remaining 80% is imported as millions of dollars go out of the country each year.
