The military is yet to announce who will take over as the new Deputy Army Commander.
RFMF spokesperson, Major Neumi Leweni said Army Commander, Commodore Frank Bainimarama is considering a few names before deciding on the reshuffling of senior military positions.
Chief of Staff, Lt Colonel Mosese Tikoitoga is currently the Acting Land Force Commander.
Meanwhile RFMF Land Force Commander, Colonel Pita Driti is also expected to leave for Malaysia to take up a diplomatic post later this month.
Lt Colonel Tikoitoga is also expected to act as the Land Force Commander following Colonel Driti's departure. However sources have confirmed that Colonel Driti will only be seconded to Malaysia and will not resign from his position.
