The Public Service Commission stresses that the Senior Military officers seconded to senior positions within the civil service are only paid by the government and not by the Fiji Military Forces.
PSC Chairman Josefa Serulagilagi said these Officers are not receiving two pay packets.
He said the State stands to gain alot by utilizing the skills and knowledge of the Military Officers.
Serulagilagi also stressed that the performance of the Military officers in government is assessed as any other civil servant.
